Turning Worn Garments Into New Favorites
Every project begins with an assessment of the garment, its fabric, and the requested fit. That review helps define what can be changed, what should be preserved, and where the material may limit the final result.
For redesign work, we prepare a written scope and a custom quote after the garment and design are reviewed. If supplementary materials are needed, they are quoted separately, and concept approval is requested before work moves ahead.
Remodelling with care, clarity, and a practical eye for what the fabric can support.
Kourou Stitchworks works on redesigns, alterations, and upcycling projects that give existing clothing a fresh purpose.
Our workshop handles dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage-garment fit updates, and fabric-reuse accessory projects. We also review customer-supplied materials and use fit checks at collection to confirm the finish.
Upcycling is especially useful for garments with sentimental value or strong original construction. We aim to reuse the best parts of the existing piece and shape the redesign around what the fabric can realistically support.
